The Interdepartmental Postgraduate Program “Advanced Technologies for Environmental Risk Management (STEDIPEK)” of the University of Thessaly is organizing a one-day workshop titled:
“Digital Tools and Advanced Methods in Environmental Risk Management”
The workshop will take place on Thursday, April 2, 2026, starting at 14:30, at the Grand Amphitheatre of the Department of Digital Systems, at the Gaiopolis Campus in Larisa (Google Maps), with the option for online attendance via the following link:

The aim of the event is to highlight advanced technological applications and practical tools that contribute substantially to the prevention, monitoring, management, and mitigation of environmental risks.
During the workshop, the following will be presented:
- the capabilities and applications of Geographic Information Systems (ArcGIS, GeoAI, Field Maps, Survey123, Dashboard, Experience Builder, Story Maps) by Marathon Data Systems
- advanced flow measurement systems for torrents, rivers, closed conduits, and open channels, by ScientAct
- UAV applications for inspections of critical infrastructure and field surveying, by Aerospection
The event is addressed to faculty members, researchers, undergraduate and postgraduate students, doctoral candidates, as well as anyone involved in or interested in environmental risk management.
